So, let us assume you have successfully signed up as a Bookney reader and you have even seen a book you like and you want to read it, but your wallet is empty. You need to fund your wallet and here’s how to do that. Featured books are those put up for readers to access easily on the home page. Authors pay Bookney for this featuring so their books are among the first to be seen on the app. If you would like your books to be featured, send an email to email@example.com
Step 1: Log in to your Bookney account on the app and click on wallet below.
Step 2: There are two options under wallet: fund wallet and transfer. Funding your wallet is when you want to put money in your Bookney wallet so you can buy books. Transferring funds is when you want to transfer money to another Bookney user through their registered Bookney email address. Please be mindful when transferring money to another Bookney user. Double check the email address to be sure you are not transferring funds into thin air because when this happens, there is nothing Bookney can do about it.
Step 3: When you click on fund wallet, the next thing to do is to fix in the amount you want to fund your wallet with and click on deposit. There are many options you can use to fund your wallet but the best two options are: Pay with card or pay with USSD.
Step 4: If you are sceptical about using your card to fund your wallet, then the next best option is to use the USSD. Using any of these two options will ensure the amount you funded your Bookney wallet with reflects immediately. However, if you use an option like pay with bank transfer, your bank account while the money will not reflect in your Bookney wallet. Then you will have to go through the trouble of sending us an email which will take us 48 working hours to resolve and you don’t want this.
Step 5: Once you have decided on the payment method you want to use fund your wallet and after a successful transaction, you will be notified. Click on your wallet and check if the fund has been added. If it has, go ahead and pay for the books you want to read.
Step 6: Any book you pay for (including free books you download) are saved in your Bookney library. Which you can read any time without internet connection after you must have logged in on the app and the book has opened.
If for any reason you fund your wallet and the fund does not reflect in your wallet but you have been debited by your bank, take screenshots and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject FAILED WALLET FUNDING and we will fix the problem within 48 hours.
